Manufacturing Engineer (MEG) (100% on site)
Shift: Monday to Friday 6:00 am - 3:00 pm
Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer will work both independently and collaboratively to
design and develop Automation, Manual Tooling, and/or Fixtures projects through Non-Released manufacturing and then through integration into production.
Functions:
- Work individually and/or with a team to scope, concept, design, and implement mechanical solutions to specific needs defined by internal customers.
- Turn concepts into SolidWorks models that accurately show the designed mechanical intent of tools and assemblies.
- Understand fabrication methods of designed solutions.
- Monitor and control project costs and ensure solutions are within acceptable budget constraints.
- Create test plans that have clearly defined and communicated measurables for success.
- Use statistical analysis to communicate the effectiveness of tools and processes to internal stakeholders.
- Support manufacturing quality through tool design and process updates.
- Support existing tools and machines by setting PM schedules and ensuring necessary spare parts are stocked.
- Manage and update internal systems to communicate to technical teams the correct tooling to set up for specific orders.
- Set up and manage projects using project tracking software.
- Manage task and project timelines to hit required due dates.
- Communicate project progress and objectives to global team members and management.
- Ensure that designs that are safe to operate and compliant with OSHA, ANSI, and Samtec safety standards.
- Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes.

- Must have bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years of experience with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD. (Optional)
- English B2+.
- Experience working in: Project/Task Management.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external groups.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Competent in SolidWorks, MS Office Suite and basic computer skills.
- Experience working as a reliable member of a cross functional team.
- Detail oriented and possesses a self-driven personality.
- Minitab knowledge.
- GD&T knowledge.
